Synonyms: cytoscope, endoscope

Definition: different types of endoscopes or cystoscopes (SIS-toe-skope) A thin, lighted (usually fiber optic) instrument used to look inside the bladder and remove tissue samples (biopsy) or small tumors. Cystoscopy (sis-TOSS-ko-pee) is the use of a cystoscope.
