Definition: Abb. cyclo-oxygenase-2. An enzyme that is now associated with cancer therapy. Aspirin and some other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as Celebrex have been found to be COX-2 inhibitors and possible treatment for some forms of cancer.
