Patrick C. Walsh is the world's foremost authority on prostate cancer, and co-author (with Janet Farrar Worthington) of The Prostate (1997, Warner). As director of the James Buchanan Brady Urological Institute at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, he continues to direct cutting edge research on the prostate gland. The recipient of numerous awards and honors, Walsh has appeared as an expert consultant on such national programs as 20/20, Good Morning America, Larry King Live, and The MacNeil/Lehrer News Hour. He lives in Baltimore, Maryland.

Janet Farrar Worthington has won numerous national awards for her writing and editing, including the Award for Excellence in Medical Education from the American Association of Medical Colleges. A writer and editor for more than fifteen years, she is also commentator for the public radio program "Marketplace," and is co-author of The Prostate. Janet Farrar Worthington lives in Free Union, Virginia.
