What Cancer Cannot Do
Last Revised February 20, 1996
We do not know the origin of the following lines.
We do know they are important for every cancer patient everywhere,
not to mention their families, their friends, and their co-workers:
Cancer is so limited ...
It cannot cripple love.
It cannot shatter hope.
It cannot corrode faith.
It cannot destroy peace.
It cannot kill friendships.
It cannot suppress memories.
It cannot silence courage.
It cannot invade the soul.
It cannot steal eternal life.
It cannot conquor the Spirit.
These lines were supposedly published at one time in an Ann Landers column.
If any reader is aware of their origin, we would be pleased to provide appropriate credit to
the author, so please let us know. The Prostate Cancer InfoLink first saw them on the
Prostate Problems Mailing List. A member of
that mailing list had received them from his mother, then a 91-year-old cancer survivor
of 25 years.
