Using a VED...

WHAT IS THE "HINGE EFFECT"?

[From Charo...]

Robert,

The constriction rings used with a VED trap or keep the blood on one side [forward] of the ring. That's what causes the erection. But on the [other] side of the ring [inside] your body there is no trapped blood. This causes the penis to have an erection and be stiff on one side of the ring but not the other. The part of the penis that goes back into your body stays soft. So the penis then moves differently than it would with a normal erection that extends into the body, back behind where the constriction ring would be.

I believe this is also referred to as a hinge effect when using a VED.
